hi all
I'm using quickfixj to handle fix messages. In FIX50SP2.xml, I couldn't find definition of Logon message, HeartBeat message.  Instead they are handled in session.class. I want to know if I have a customized Fix protocol and the Logon message require 1408(DefaultCstmApplVerID), what do i have to do?
By the way, how to combine quickfixj with Fast protocol? Will there be some examples?

    Please help me out, thanks

zhou wenquan

In FIX 5, a separate transport layer was introduced for session handling. Those messages are defined in FIXT11.xml.

For FAST,  have a look at OpenFAST.

Hi,

the session level messages for FIX5.0+ are defined in FIXT11.xml.
You will find that the required field is already defined there.
