Hi Christoph,

Hope you are doing good.

We are replacing Cameron with quickfix..As in cameron there was no order mechanism

It means in cameron client can send data in any order irrespective of  order in dictionary..

But in such scenarion its not taking care by QuickFix or may we are not ware about that..

IF client data order sequence is not matching with dictionary sequence it not able to map data in object.

Is there any way to map unorder data into Quick fix ?

Is it possible to make in sequence of clinet order data as per dictionary before parsing into Message ?

Thanks
Nalini

If I understand what you're asking, you want QFJ to be able to allow fields in the messages in any order. Try adding this to the session config:

ValidateFieldsOutOfOrder=N

Hi -

I'm maintaining a fork of QFJ for ourselves (mainly for custom
dictionary purposes). Its now synced with master/upstream. A lot of very
nice changes, by the way. Since I'm still a bit rusty with git and
maven, I can't figure out why version in pom.xml says 1.7.0-SNAPSHOT.
Tried changing to 1.7.1-SNAPSHOT to build and deploy internally, but it
now fails quickfixj-distribution.

Where do I see 1.6.3 and how does that relate to github's
1.7.0-SNAPSHOT? Is the master branch on github enjoying all the latest
changes? It seems like so.

Header field order question (was Re: QuickFIX/J 1.6.3 released)

Hi Nalini:

I am assuming you're asking about field order within messages that you are
SENDING to a client (so "Validate" settings are not relevant, they only
apply messages that you are receiving).

Are you seeing "header" fields mixed in with "body" fields? If so, make
sure you're actually adding the header field using the correct syntax. A
common mistake is this:

    message.setField(DeliverToCompID.FIELD, "CLIENT2"); // wrong
    // should be:
    message.getHeader().setField(DeliverToCompID.FIELD, "CLIENT2");

If you are asking about field order within repeating groups, then that is
a harder question whose answer may involve code generation at
compile-time, not just DataDictionary or other settings at run-time.

Hope this helps,
-Scott

The trunk (current-est development) is 1.7.0-SNAPSHOT. You'll have to go
to the 1.6.x branch to get 1.6.3.

Hi Christoph,

Are you aware of any new parameters that became available through configuration in QFJ 1.6.3

For instance, for the report
[QFJ-821] - Quickfix/J Server should validate SSL client certificates

Is it possible to configure server/client to not validate a certificate?

Thank you,
Dima Tsaranov

Okay, got it, according to secure_communications.html doc

"Acceptor certificates are always authenticated by the initiator" if the follwing settings are specified at Initiator:

SocketTrustStore=[your trust store path]
SocketTrustStorePassword=[your trust store password]

However, if not specified then Initiator will not validate Acceptor certificates

Dima
